Børge Mogensen Spokeback Settee with Original Leather
33 1/2" high x 63 1/2" wide x 29" deep
Like many of the finest Danish modern cabinetmakers, Børge Mogensen was also trained as an architect. Their holistic understanding not only of furniture design and its history, but also of its function in interior space, resulted in some of the most timeless and useful designs we continue to seek out today. Mogensen originally designed this settee, model 1789, for Johannes Hansen in 1945. This one was made in 1984 by Fritz Hansen of Denmark. It is a wonderfully build object. One side reclines. The leather is original and has a warm patina.
