This young girl’s expression seems to warn of a brewing storm–the transition to womanhood, perhaps.

Sven Ljungberg’s work, primarily in the genres of printmaking and painting, was preoccupied with the theme of Swedish small town life. He also served as a Director of the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm, during which time he was granted the honor of creating the certificates for the winners of the Nobel Prize in Physics, Chemistry, and Economics. His work can be found in the Moderna museet and Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, as well as in the Ljungbergmuseet in his home town of Ljungby, Sweden.

In a gilt frame, the dimensions of which are 22 1/4″ x 17 1/2″
