Lapponia Jewelry
Björn Weckström
1970s
Bronze, silver

Weckström is a sculptor whose collaboration with fellow Finn Pekka Anttila resulted in the creation of Lapponia jewelry in 1963. Weckström approached jewelry as wearable art, the organic forms inspired by the Finnish landscape. 'Krupp' is one of three bracelets produced for the Flame Bronze Collection in 1971 and for only a few years subsequently. It is highly collectible. $850

His silver pieces, like this ring, are inspired by the frozen lakes and snowy landscapes of Finland in winter. $800

Both pieces are displayed in the vitrine at Lawton Mull, 200 Lex. Drop by to try them on.
