An etched shell necklace of the Ifugao, the ethnic tribal people of the northern Philippines. Called a "palangapang," it is a traditional wealth object, worn by the most elite and wealthy tribal members for ceremonial purposes. Made of mother-of-pearl and plaited rattan.
