Painted George III Settee
Early 19th century
Painted wood, silk velvet
38" high x 77" wide x 31" deep (seat height 17")

This elegant settee has a wonderful provenance: It came from the estate of the de Guigné family of San Francisco, whose home, Guignécourt, was built in 1916 on 50 acres overlooking the sea. In the 1960s, Anthony Hail redecorated, and this settee was likely one of the pieces he chose.

Recently reupholstered in a Savel glazed linen. Also shown with older silk velvet upholstery.
