Considered by connoisseurs of Scandinavian modernism to be one of the most important and lesser known Danish designers, Ejvind A. Johansson's work was often ahead of its time. After undergoing traditional training as a cabinetmaker and joiner, Johansson went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Six years later, he had taken over Børge Mogensen's position as head of Fredericia Stolefabrik. Many of his works have an iconic presence.

These embracing lounge chairs are extremely comfortable. They have been restored and reupholstered in a Swedish shearling.

The design, Model 301, is illustrated in Literature: Mobilia No. 46, 1959.
