A pair of handsome armchairs, the wood stained a faded forest green, the seat and back upholstered in Swedish shearling. Carl Westman, a designer of furniture and interiors, was foremost an architect--one of the first in Sweden to implement a new Nordic National Romantic style which drew from the English Arts & Crafts Movement as well as medieval architectural styles. One sees this aesthetic at work in the design of these chairs.
